 The Eyes Of  A  Stranger

"000000" text="blue">

I look into those eyes and see,
a stranger looking back at me.
He's someone that I've never met,
wheres the man I can't forget.
Once warm those eyes are cold now,
I have to make him see somehow.
The man he was has slipped away,
pushing me out more each day.
I guess for us its just too late,
theres too much time to sit and wait.
Wonting him to see again,
what we had in love back then.
I've sit an took a long hard look,
for every page is an open book.
On love that couldn't last you see,
theres nothing left for you and me.
I want my heart set free from danger,
from the man with the eyes of a stranger.

this I wrote towards the end of my divorce
not a happy time, but it was along time ago now.
