Though no one would wish it, the war has begun,
we've sent off our Father, Mother, Daughter, an Son.
Now their home lies through Baghdad, this they will gain,
as their off to do battle with Saddam Hussein.
Bomb blasts day and night, to fill foreign skies,
back at home our prayers, our heartfelt cries.
We'll support our brave troops, while they remain,
on those deadly grounds, with Saddam Hussein.
As our soldiers fight, an uncertain land,
fear and bravery no doubt, go hand in hand.
As they trudge through the sand, the mud, wind, and rain,
each day gaining ground on Saddam Hussein.
Saddam's evils are many, on this foreign soil,
letting innocents perrish, and burning of oil.
Our soldiers march on, Iraqi Freedom to obtain,
putting an end to the forces of Saddam Hussein.
Many lives will be lost, on land, sea in air,
while loved ones at home, cry war isn't fair.
Their doing their duty, you don't hear them complain,
as they seek out their target, Saddam Hussein.
Let this war be swift, and victory ring true,
Our Heros Our Troops, all fighting for you.
One day news will come, to help ease the pain,
the headlines will read, no more Saddam Hussein.
