The sister I didn't have, you were, My friend and confidant too, With a heart as pure as gold itself, That golden heart – is you. God gave you to the world on loan, For He knew you couldn't stay, For the goodness that He bestowed on you, Will last forever and a day. It makes no matter that you're no longer here, For people to know of you…! For your memory lives on forever, Because God knew just what to do! He lent a sunbeam bright… To forever shine all over the earth, And no matter what fate befalls us, We will never forget your worth. He created an angel so special, And led you into my life… Soul mates, that's what we were, We helped each other through much strife. We carried each other through dark days, And we walked that lonely path… My best friend, my confidant, Betty, And your best friend…this poet Cath! He gave to us a shining star, To lighten many a soul, Then God took you for his sunbeam, Because you made many a person feel whole!
