Words of Life, Love and Praise

This Heart

This, my heart lay quiet and still
But for a brief moment, no pain-
Watching the sun fade from the sky,
Glorious hues flash among dying rays.
Such sweetness hanging in the thick air
Remnants of warm lilac and white rose-
The fragrance intoxicates as it envelops
What remains of this hot August day…
While this, my heart again finds joy
In but this mere moment of beauty.
