My life is but a desert
Searching for the promised land
My eyes are in search of the light
Though my legs wobble in the sand
I am pulling for the strength
To find the words to pray
I know that God will listen
I just don't know what to say
But I can feel the presence
Of an Angel standing near
With a comfort like that
I have not a thing to fear
So I will push myself onward
With my scriptured armor intact
For I know I serve a graceful God
