 My Other Jacqueline

~SigsByDarlene~

I watch this baby in my arms, looking back on what might have been,
God called her to His loving arms, my precious baby my Jacqueline.

In you I see her blue eyes, and that tiny beautiful face,
I hold you and remember, another time, another place.

At times you sleep so peacefully, that I wake you with my touch,
But I have to feel your breathing, for I love you very much.

So those times when Nana holds you, if i've smiled or shed a tear,
its remembering your namesake, and memories I hold so dear.

I watch your mommy with you, doing all the things I couldn't do,
to another tiny baby, that looked so much like you.

When the years have come and gone, someday you'll remember when,
your nana laughed and cried with you, my other jacqueline.
