Something SweetA poem from the novel "The Essence of Poetry II:Gerald's Sophomore Yet Grown Poetrybook" Written by: Gerald L. Ingraham ----------------------------------------- Causing me to reminisce by every day to each night, I love being in your presence, my sweet darling dear, Because the atmosphere influences me with a might To endure the hard and reform it fully without fear. I am affected by your love, passion, and mostly you; If you not for or your existence on this very Earth, Then I would not really know what to calmly do; There is something about you, that is over its worth. I love your lips so humungous and crimson red, The darkness that is reflective for that very sheen, Which defines each curly strand of hair in your head; In my eyes, you are not just a diva, you are a queen. The intensity that I feel while looking in your eyes Is beyond inconceivable as I stare fixedly and deeper, I begin to feel that you are an angel in a disguise Who has fallen dewinged here from a place so steeper. I can obeserve your body that is of a perfection, But I deserve not to even glimpse your forbidden way, Because you are indeed too much for my detection; Yet, I inhale the infantine scent you have everyday. Maybe, I too have fallen, but under the cunning charm; To be honest, I am agitated about the fact at all, Because thinking of you somehow keeps me very warm, And I thank you for these memories which I can recall. Thank you for this something so sweet, Because I no longer have the fear Of having you to make my life complete; Something sweet makes a man cry a tear. Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
