(At least I found one of the two today).
He called out of the blue,
"How have you been?"
and I started crying.
"It's so nice to hear
a friendly voice..."
I apologized for
breaking our last date,
explained circumstances.
He said, "Your boyfriend
waited on me once, smiled,
was nice enough...I think
he recognized me...He gave
me good customer service."
I laughed at his synopsis
of the situation...
and he said he found me
in his address book and
was thinking about me.
He said he was moving
to Madison, Wisconsin,
got a job as the film director
for the University's
athletic department.
I told him I moved
one street over.
So, he said, "I bet
you don't have a garden.
How about some
home-grown tomatos?"
I said, "Oh baby,
you're hitting my
sweet spot..."
So, he said, "I'll...
be right there."
My rainbow,
my dove of peace,
my sign of hope,
an old friend
with a hug
and fresh tomatos.
