I Prevailed…I Focused…I Won!I lived a life so sad, Awash in the sea of tears, All my life I lived with strife, And tried to hide my fears! My happiness was totally marred, By ill winds that blew my way, Like a bird in a trapped, gilded cage, All my lifelong day! I was hiding my hurt inside, Then like a feather on a breeze… All my pain and sadness blew away… Through the whisper of the trees! Like the sand slipping through a timer, It was only a matter of time… Before I came into the light… And finally, peace became mine! I prevailed! I took on every dark cloud, And pushed them high up and away, Where they will stay forever more, For I won, this one fine day! I focused! Yes, I really did… And stood the test of time, Once more I stood tall and proud, Now everything in my life is fine! I Won! I allowed the light into my life! And I chased all my sadness away!
