I've always been the solid rock, know matter what arose,
hiding pain and sorrow, that's how my story goes,
Never shed an open tear, for the world to see,
they counted on my strength, their solid rock was me.
I've stood beside lost loved ones, but still my cheeks were dry,
I always held it in, for I couldn't let me cry.
I had to stay together, till everyone was gone,
I had to be the strong one, the rock they all leaned on.
If they could see into my heart, what a mess they'd see,
an Ocean full of unshed tears, yearning to be set free.
Pain and all the misery, from being always strong,
please God let them see, I've been the rock too long.
Tears flowing down my cheeks, let the whole world see,
know longer am I solid rock, from that burden I am free.
Dear Lord, hear my prayer, with words so meek an humble,
why has no one ever told me, over time rocks crumble.
