Detention Duty
What a silly suggestion,
Must be an invention,
Did I hear you mention,
This week's my detention.
One full hour of silence,
In a dull dreary room,
My thoughts turn to violence,
Quick kids meet your doom.
Such sitting and staring,
I'm bored out of my brain.
Kids shuffling and scratching,
On each face is pure pain.
What type of selection,
Is used for detention,
Sure kids need correction.
But what about the poor innocent teacher!!
