Mid-Hop

Walking down the street
Scurrying to the next corner
Hopping from this pad to the next
Like a frog on the hunt for the nearest lily
to get to my destination by 11 AM and-
And in mid-hop,
I get blocked by this-
Ugly empowering stench of offensiveness
who thinks that I am dying
to relieve my digits of communication to him
Frog eyes!
Fish lips!
Bleh!
Yuck-o!
I refuse to waste a milisecond to kiss him
To discover that he was never ever
my Prince Charming
to begin with
any which way.
Eww...
So I resume to hop over this mound of offense
To my final pad
(like the Princess in the SuperMario Nintendo games)
And dash to my destination at 11 AM on the dot
Undeterred by the momentary distraction.
Yay, I win!
Next round!
