The howling of the coyotes, such a lonely sound,
every animal on this night knows that they're around.
Listen to the whippoorwill, its mate echoes in the night,
their voices are in unison, till their wings soar in flight.
Way off into the distance, an owl is hooting there,
he clearly dominates the night, without a single care.
As the enchanting nightingale, sings its song to you,
its such a lovely sound, each night right on cue.
A chorus all in baritone, the sounds the bullfrogs make,
hundreds are in full song, out around the lake.
Somewhere a cow is bawling, her babies gone astray,
lying down to take a nap misguided lost its way.
Rustling through the bushes, a possums playing there,
roaming always aimlessly, for the food they'll snare.
Here the chirping of the crickets, their noises never cease,
until the night is gone, and daylight brings us peace.
Some will make you shiver; others lull you off to sleep
as you wonder what alls out there, in the night dark an deep.
Listen to the night sounds, then imagine, what a sight,
the beautiful sounds of nature, Gods symphony each night.
