A Poem for Ann
Till the Storm Passes
She leans upon Your Holy Word
Locked deep within her heart,
And yet the suffering she must bare
Is tearing her apart.
She trusts, she prays, for others who
Have petitioned needs for Thee;
and scarcely notices the pain
Coursing through her own body.
"All things work together for good"
is the mantle that she wears,
Struggling through each day becomes
Almost more than she can bare.
This storm must rage around her, Lord
Until her battle here is won.
Please Comfort her with Your Sheltering Arms
Until the storm is done.
Gently ease those crashing waves
of suffering and pain
Touch her with Your Healing Power
As long as this storm remains.
Safely, lead her to the shore,
Restoring Health, and Joy, and Love,
and she will Praise Your Name, Oh God,
for there is no other name above.
Beseeching You, My God, to hear this prayer
For our Sainted Sister Ann,
Who Glorifies our Gentle Savior,
Forever and forever~~~Amen.
