Mirror Image! We have a face we show the world Where truth is buried, won't be unfurled We have a face on display, We laugh and smile the day away We have a face of double side False on false on show truth we hide But the face you see is false and shallow Hardened by hurt, squashed like mallow The face you see is a mask of steel Hardened to hurt and a pain that won't heal We are the same, you and me What they get isn't what they see We hide behind a mask at times, so people can not see, What it is that's going on, inside of you and me! We all do it! Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem |
