Petals In The Grass

Yesterdays Warning

Dancing with depression
Happiness collecting dust
Sorrow hugs my flesh
Permanent in its cruelty
The bowels of anguish
Is where I lie
Not heeding the warnings
Of yesterday
I must obey
The methodical pain
That was called together
In my mind
The tears of my soul
Kiss my cheeks
Unable to wipe them
I am a prisoner to the punishment
