If It Would Lead My Heart

I would travel to a foreign shore
Drift off to places never seen before
Scale a mountain to its highest peak
Just to keep your heart within my reach

I'd face the winds of the driest sands
Part the ocean with my trembling hands
Face an army of conquering hoards
If it would lead my heart to yours

I would sail across the midnight sky
With a new horizon painted in my eye
Leave behind all I've ever known
For my heart is yours and to you I'd go

I would walk the very fires of hell
Ride the tides atop of the swell
Find the reality in a land of metaphors
If it would lead my heart to yours
