I look out to darkness, no stars in the sky,
I'm hoping for snow, as the clouds roll by.
The tree is all trimmed, the lights have been strung,
the gifts are all wrapped, the stockings are hung.
I walk to the door, hot chocolate in hand,
and the snowflakes are falling, all over the land.
I'll wake Christmas morning, to a blanket of snow,
and the laughter of children, their faces a glow.
I tucked them in bed, Santas all ready in flight,
and Gods in His Heaven, making magic this night.
As we sleep God decorates, with nature and snow,
to put Christmas day, at the top of the show.
The Children awake Me, their little footsteps I heard,
so I sneak down to watch, without saying a word.
Little hands working frantically, tearing paper and bows,
finding sought after toys, some surprises and clothes.
I walked to the window, what a wonderous sight,
Gods Christmas decorations, all sparkling and bright.
Snow covered trees, with icicles hung round,
cardinals and blue jays, living ornaments with sound.
Share joy and glad tidings, to those near and far,
and remember Baby Jesus, born beneath the North Star.
Be giving and sharing, and generous to,
enjoy the Holidays, Merry Christmas to You.
