Lazy Sundays…The sun shines and the leaves flow, As a summer day with a breeze, Gently brushes over the land, And lazily flows with ease! Children in the water, And building castles in the sand… Paddling pools for babies, Clinging to mommy's hand! Glisten on the water… And gazing idly out to sea, Lazy Sundays, peace and laughter, That's the life for me! Day fades away, night draws in, Sunset fades away in the distance, A hush falls over the lazy Sunday, As though the daylight wasn't in existence! Shadows fall, covering the ground, As it takes the day into night, Lazy butterflies, and wasps and bees, Lazily take off and take flight! Lazy Sundays, lazy bank holidays, Lazy days hoping the sun will stay… …Hot for lazy siestas, Lazy days every day… And the sun will always shine again, And the grass will grow like the hay, And the children will always giggle in glee… On a fine, lazy Sunday – day…!
