Love Knocks Softly
Loves comes knocking softly
And often goes unheard
Often like a lost meaning
Of a tender written word
It taps away throughout life
Until it grows so tired
With arms so weak, it hangs it head
As hope and faith are soon expired
Asking why no one does listen
An answer never to come
Swearing to come back another day
For its quest is never done
So open up your heart and mind
Love may be knocking upon your door
And if you choose to let it in
It will stay forevermore
