Guide Me Through My Past , Into A Future.


sometimes
it hurts so bad
when I'm slapped in the face
by my past.

haunting me
hunting me down

throwing me to the ground.

giving me one last look in the eye
before I can let this past die.

but die it must
before healing begins
forgiving myself
and my past sins.

guilt turns to remorse
and I'm ready for change..

no more haunting

no longer hunted
being the past's prey.

rearing its nasty head
biting deep
with its venomous fangs.

let go of me
so I can let go of you.

I feel I've suffered enough
what more would you have me do?

painful past
sticking like glue..

God, I leave it to you

you'll let me know
when I've had enough..

but until I'm redeemed
please guide me
as to what I should do.
