Being a Righteous MachineMatthew 15:16-20 Have you no understanding of the Word? Does it just seem a little bit too absurd? What goes in the mouth the belly it goes, Then it continues out onward as it flows; But what comes from the heart is defiled, Evil thoughts of sex and violence compiled; Slander, theft and murder of a cunning plan, These are some things that defile a man; But if you want to eat with unwashed hands, This does not defile a man as it now stands. We think of unclean hands being unsanitary, Rather I wanted to say no need to be wary; It's true to say as it could cause disease, And washing prevents as in all the studies; But more interesting on what comes out, Than going in is what I am talking about; Your hands are not as dirty as your heart, And it shows every time that you impart; Confessing to build faith will help clean, And making you into a righteous machine.
