In The Sunshine

People gathered
In the sunshine,
Raised their hands
To touch the rays.

Children frolicked
In the sunshine,
Letting laughter
Fill their days.

Couples ambled
In the sunshine,
Sharing secrets
Of the heart.

Artists painted
In the sunshine,
Showing beauty
In their art.

Runners jogged
In the sunshine,
Filling lungs
With air so clean.

Clown juggled
In the sunshine,
All around,
No face is mean.

Dancers moved
In the sunshine,
Letting poise
Come and go.

Students studied
In the sunshine,
Letting nature
Show them so.

Buskers strummed
In the sunshine,
Spreading music,
Joy and love.

Babies gurgled
In the sunshine,
Smiled with mischief,
Looked above.

Joy Weare.
