Poetic Verses
For All Time
In innocent days of yore,
when all the girls were sweet,
a gentleman came by coach
down a cobble stone street
Escort he the maiden fair
to dine at his estate
and woo ye lovely maiden
to a wondrous fate
Such tantalizing fare
was prepared by his staff
and to top the meal off
was wine in a gold carafe
Then into the night went they
to explore the garden view
and underneath the stars
he said "I love you"
The pace of her heart quickened
as he said "will you be mine"
She answered very simply
"Yes, for all time"
