From the Heart
Like quick moving shadows of fluffy white
clouds in a moonlit rhyme, thoughts of
you float across the space of time.
The harder I try to forget, the more I
think of the time when our hearts were
entwined.
Days of wine and roses, of sun and
sand, walking the beach hand in hand.
Rainy nights, songs of romance,
love and heart felt emotions.
Then one day you went away, my
heart shattered into a million pieces,
and is still broken till this day.
I know you’re out there some where,
I send my love and devotion to
where ever you are.
The years have taken there toll,
our time has passed, but our love will
forever last.
