Petals In The Grass
Nothing To Say
I've got my bags packed
I'm leaving today
Still I adore her face
But her eyes say go
Her smile falls empty
Touching memories
In the corners of my mind
It begins to rain
It does not cleanse our goodbye
Stained with filth
Covered in foul words
Being speechless
As I reach the door
Taking one last glance
Seeing no more tomorrows
Because of splintered yesterdays
And the curses of today
I'm leaving today
Still I adore her face
But her eyes say go
Her smile falls empty
Touching memories
In the corners of my mind
It begins to rain
It does not cleanse our goodbye
Stained with filth
Covered in foul words
Being speechless
As I reach the door
Taking one last glance
Seeing no more tomorrows
Because of splintered yesterdays
And the curses of today
