THE BEAUTY FORGOTTEN IN TIME'S PASSING
Now she sees her trembling old hands,
Hands with thick gnarled red knuckles
And stiff blue-veined fingers.
They are hands which never were good
For fast typing or piano playing, but
Once they looked nice with rings!
Now the rings no longer fit and the
Trembling old hands are themselves
Unable to remember their own beauty.
And the woman chooses not to think
Of old stands and younger hands
Gone and now long forgotten!
