Freedom of Choice...Row Versus Wade Rating:
Hi Lori... Sorry I've been so unresponsive to all your wonderful visits to my poetic realm. It does make me smile to know that you keep occassional tabs on my work. As for this poem, I adore the "Row vs. Wade" aspect... it's too awesome to have been invented by someone other than me. :P And I also think that the voice in this poem is the one you need to listen to in order to get over the person who inspires your ache. IMO, he is not worth it. Your heart and its lack of shallowness clearly shows that you tried your best to make him and yourself happy. There's no shame in failure when we give love 100%... only a bitter incompatibility that gets easier to accept when tears have stopped blurring our vision. Hopefully your past 18 months are only a lesson that prepares you for something better... someone who deserves you. :)
