sadness

Sadness, but like a dam around my tears i can not weep
Ethically i should, you are my blood, you are my mothers brothers
But the love i have for my brothers is immense
Family feuds have pushed you apart
Crippling illness from childhood, fate was destined
Now you are dying, my uncle
But like all my family, never really there
mum and brothers excluded
i call others uncle and others cousins
whose blood is not mine
But now my own blood is dying
such regrets, such emotions
My sadness goes towards my mother
and my fear goes looking at her own mortality
Sadness, such sadness
I will be at your funeral as your nephew
But will leave knowing it's a fraud
Like the fake God we give into your care
And as i sit here and write
My mother weeps
sadness, such sadness
