Ensnared

Oh unsuspecting prey...
Was I
Who knew of temptations
Lingering nigh?

Like shimmer of dust
A spark in the eye
Love did beckon
And I did abide

Ensnared was I
A maiden caught
Think of escape
Some say I ought

Yet with nary a thought
I am tethered
Captured by your heart
No sweeter pleasure
