Heart Of The Matter
One Way Street
Though life may be a one-way street,
Which stretches on and on,
It also has some twists and turns,
When all, is said and done.
And when you're on a long stretch,
With nothing but despair,
One day you'll turn a corner,
And find something waiting there.
You'll be led by the arrows,
And signs along the way,
You may come to a crossroads,
Leading to a brighter day.
You can't go back or turn around,
You've been on that road before,
So you carry on regardless,
Till you find an open door.
Which stretches on and on,
It also has some twists and turns,
When all, is said and done.
And when you're on a long stretch,
With nothing but despair,
One day you'll turn a corner,
And find something waiting there.
You'll be led by the arrows,
And signs along the way,
You may come to a crossroads,
Leading to a brighter day.
You can't go back or turn around,
You've been on that road before,
So you carry on regardless,
Till you find an open door.
