SUMMER END

Lay down your head and close your eyes

and rest your weary soul,

For the lighthouse shines through fog, and rain,

and night as black as coal!

Though winds are lashing and waves are crashing

on coral reefs below,

The beacons call and beckons all

with its majestic beam aglow.

When stars are out and seas are calm

and eventide draws nigh-

The seafarer rocks in a cradle of waves,

to The Lighthouse Lullabye.

~SUMMER ENDS~

Summer fun is to end
Sail boats make to port their way!
Colorful umbrellas sank in the sand
And softly in the sea-breeze sway!

Time filled with radiant sunshine
Now it is time say to all goodbye
School year awaits again with Fall
Books and school supplies to pack!

I have had much fun indeed
Raced and at times I pace
In these Summer months vacation
So much was often taking place

I look at again to the sun
Not a cloud I view in the sky
In the garden dances the butterfly...
And...in the nights I 'till see the fireflies!

Cloaked in the wing of the day and the night
Clearly, I hear the echoes of the windchimes!
