Wheel Chair Fishing

Man in wheel chair,
Fishing slow,
Sitting still,
Just like so.

Sits for hours,
Patiently,
Dreams of dancing,
By the sea.

May as well
Sit and fish,
Closes eyes,
Makes a wish.

"Oh that I could
Run and walk,
Skip and dance,
As well as talk"

"But I guess
It could be worse,
I'm still alive,
Not in a hearse"

And so he sits,
And thinks of life,
As he fishes
Free from strife!

Joy Weare.
