 The Butterfly Collecter
I look out upon my creation
Here in my backward, the Garden of Eden
Such a mixture of beauty and sin
But I hold in my palm my favourite thing
So beautiful it even makes GOD cry
This unique and adorable butterfly
So small, so lovely, so special to me
I painted her wings blue like the sea
I made her eyes black like a shadowry evening
And with my kiss I started her breathing
Her white body was like the virgin snow
As I held her, I never wanted to let go
I'm GOD, all powerful and all knowing
From my words I made the wind blowing
But look at me now, lost for words and thought
From this little creature so much she's taught
About, freedom, and change, and pure beauty
This butterfly meant so much to me
But I couldn't keep this divine creature for myself
The world would die without her wealth
She would breath life into the flowers
Her tears will be like rain showers
She will be the sunset and the moon rise
She will be  the stars within the skies
She will make make mankind feel warm inside
She will be the crushing waves of the tide
I couldn't keep this wonderful butterfly?
So I created my soul, as the dragonfly.

(written in 2003) Since i have decided to go back and re do all my old poems and bring them to the top of my pages, i have realized some beautiful poems i have written. This poem won poem of the day on here when it was up. Sadly it isn;t written about a woman although a few woman thought it was. It was actually written about a day when i was in Borneo i had just come back from traveling. One of the vivid memories i have of my time in Borneo was when i was trekking through the rain forest. I had just broke up with my gf i was traveling with, and this butterfly came and sat by me, rested on my shoulders, and it was as if she was was comforting me...
