Heart Of The Matter
I'm Healing (A Sonnet)
I'm healing, slow but surely making sense,
Though certain questions still run through my head,
I'm looking for some form of recompense,
But know I can't forget what has been said,
In time I will forgive but won't forget,
The truth has left a scar within my soul,
Perhaps this is a form of Karmic Debt,
That I must lay to rest to make me whole.
I wonder now how could I be so blind,
But as a child acceptance is the norm,
We play the game un-seeking yet we find,
The strength, to overcome the raging storm.
I'm healing, working slowly through the pain,
And I'll emerge victorious again.
