Please sing to me
O' babbling stream
A soft happy tune
To entice a dream
Not one late at night
When the world is at rest
But a daydream so sweet
I fancy them best
How you sound like laughter
Soft like a girl's giggle
Perhaps now her beau
Gave her a quick tickle
Playful and free now
Like love can be
O' sing me a tune
About him and me
And here I shall sit
As you hum away
Lost in thoughts of him
And a smile on my face
