Ribbon Of Blue
A ribbon of blue
floats through the air,
it reminds me of you
it once held back your hair.
The sun shimmered
through your blond hair,
of what I remember
you didn't have a care.
Time flies by
without you here,
I sit and cry
I wish for you to be near.
I want to hold you
in my arms again,
your heart was pure and true
you were my daughter, my friend.
I grab the ribbon of blue
and clench it tight,
it reminds me of you
whilst I cry through the night.

I had the title of this poem for a long time and just decided to put the poem to it. It's not about anybody.
