I feel you in my heart, in my thoughts, in my soul,
You impact me so deeply that no one will ever really know,
My heart has me strapped so tight,
Sometimes it's so bad I feel like I have no breath.
I know I'll never forget you,
Even in the last days of my death.
I feel like a thousand birds about to take a flight,
When you suddenly come along,
With a few more of your lovely songs.
You make my thoughts to where they will be full of your precious light,
To whisk away the darkness and the unseeing night.
I want to see the way to a far brighter day,
Of the future that unfolds in the most gorgeous sort of way.
Now in my soul I have a sort of peace,
That lingers and lingers,
Almost like a fulfilling dinner feast.
I love all things,
Even my brothers and sisters,
So remember this lesson,
For it's a preparation,
The time is here,
Near its end,
When no more can be done.
And nothing left to mend.
