''KIDDO''

HELLO THERE

Dust has compiled in my district of assignment,
firmly being told, my place of belonging awaits.
Still, I must come by and polish that desk of old,
so I can breath, inspect my site, and not fold.

As I sit and look around my designated area,
tears of joy and sorrow streamed down my face.
Elated to see colleague buddies, I still call Kiddo,
Yet no sense of belonging in a capacity still cherished.

Two years have passed, feels more like a decade,
since my life transformed, spinning in all directions.
Correspondence I compose are for diverse objectives,
while administered documents infer my inventory.

My body is weak, but my faith in fate still strong,
for it is strength that has kept me going all along.
Denial has been erased from my vocabulary,
as negativity will only keep me stationary.

So to all the Kiddos who know me well,
be assured I refuse to fall deep in a well!
I will see you often, whether there or not,
for you are in my daily thoughts throughout!

Respect one another, and do not pout,
sooner than you think, you'll see me about.
This is not a threat, you hear,
Just a kind note from your Kiddo still here!
