In evening shadows
I seek the song of morning light
Casting a tune of timely measure
in shades of somber nightly flight
Of dew that kisses the morning air
upon the frozen soul pf Man
To justify his continued plight
frightened dreams of the forgotten plan.
The plan is of the future
of which we all do strive
Carrying every fiber
which our minds contrive
Setting upon a journey
where in there is no sight
Rendering the destination of Man
a true and blinding flight.
Fear and aspiration
which we all serve
The dread of being forgotten
which most of us deserve
A selfish desire of fame
being blessed upon our heads
A long life rushed with foolish pleasure
being forced within our deaths.
What dreadful plan can Man contain
that drives to greater harm
No pleasures of the things they seek
will stay their ready arm
To destroy for the pleasure of riches
or seek a place in seedy fame
Hoping that fate will spare their lives
so eternity of life can be claimed.
The true success of a person
is the deeds ones does in love
The endearments of a task completed
in pursuit that furthers the cause
The return for following the ways of love
a life of satisfaction begins
With the realization that its God's work
enabling that Mankind will win.
For God has given every creature
a place in which to dine
Enjoyment of ones daily tasks
can truly be divine
So seek not the power outside
but strive for that which is within
To kiss the sky each morning
with the gifts of God within.
