A glimmer through the window pain,
The distant light of candles flame,
As it flickers in the night,
To guide to see the path is right.
Lantern swaying too and throw,
Shadows moving as it glows,
Closer moving into view,
Whose shadow holds the lantern true?
Candle dimming in the breeze,
Who be this person come to me,
For as the wind does blow and swell,
The candle darkens light has fell.
Once again the candle glows,
The shadow close but still not known,
Yet as they turn the corners path,
My love I see out in the night.
Anticipation from night's dark weariness,
Brings a glow of warmth within,
For there before me stands my heart,
Brought forth from glowing candle light.
