Listening and DoingJames 1:22-25 Be doers and not just hearers of the Word, You deceive yourself thinking it is absurd; For if a hearer of the Word is never a doer, Laziness can prevent you being a pursuer; He only holds himself going his own way, Forgetting in what manner God does play; But looking into the perfect law of liberty, That is graced by the Lord God Almighty; No longer being forgetful of what you hear, Rather as a doer of the Word who is sincere; For the doer shall be blessed for his deed, On doing in accordance to the Gospel seed. See something occur and shake your head, Thinking what could have been done instead; Forgetting it says in the Word of the Lord, Not trying to heed going totally ignored; Too often we do not want to get involved, Even though that a problem can be solved; He appreciates you hear to all that is true, But He also wants to make a doer out of you.
