Little Reminders
~pat~
I leave him little notes
all scattered everywhere
just tiny little reminders
dear God it isn't fair.
They tell him his name
that I am his wife
our childrens names are there
things needed in daily life.
Reminders of where he lives
where to find his socks and shoes
he couldn't make it any day
without my little clues.
They can't make him feel
all the love we've shared
he can't even remember
that he's ever cared.
Dear God let him wake up
the way he used to be
a husband and father
the man in love with me.
