Serving of Two MastersLuke 16:13-17 No servant can serve two masters or more, Either hating one and love another for sure; Or else cleave to one as the other despise, Not to serve God and wealth still be wise; Justifying to men but God knows your heart, What is reputable to men God wants no part; The law and the prophets were until John, Then the Kingdom of God is preached upon; And present an impression upon the mass, As easier for Heaven and earth for to pass; Rather than one title of His law would fail, With His ever present power will prevail. So often our perspective through this life, Only filled with trouble, toil and strife; Not even realizing the actual reason why, Thinking of alternatives to flat out deny; Our priority in this life is not our future, Rather of lust and greed than His rapture; In serving two masters not both to be true, You can not have your cake and eat it too.
