Rejection Begets RejectionRemembering this time Once upon a day When I looked up at a sparkle That snagged me, enveloped me In a shining bubble I floated No woes Joyful I was FREE But today, look at me Hanging out with Eeyore I am weighted down by A thick, black rain cloud Stuck to the ground, bound Silenced Silence, except for the ticking clock And the phone that just keeps ringing With you behind it to ask me how I am How am I? I see the sun shining perfectly But no sparklies today To reach out and grab me I'm sorry My lead hand, that travels to my mouth Won't allow me to pick up the phone Today, I just need to be alone Until Within myself I don't feel quite so all alone.
