Battle Preparations

Romans 13:11-14

Now it is high time to awaken out of sleep,
Our salvation is near for rewards to reap;
The night is far spent the day is at hand,
In listening for our commander's command;
Cast off the works and things of the dark,
Put on the armor of light for to embark;
Walk honestly as in the day not as a drunk,
Not being lewd or rowdy acting as a punk;
Rather be as Christ preparing for to fight,
Not lustful flesh but for truth and light.
The time draws near for Christ to come,
Alas too many have turned deaf and dumb;
The signs are out there and plain to see,
As God is planning on issuing His decree;
For having it here much too soft and good,
Not paying attention to Him as we should;
We need to look at the error of our ways,
And rid our lives of all the moral decays;
But Satan will not give up easily this war,
So prepare for battle help settle the score.
