At the crossroads of mercy and grace,
"Oh" I'm told it's a wonderful place
There's a well of love, that never runs
Dry, and it's free just for the taking,
It promises to heal hearts that are hurting
Or those that may be breaking
Mercy's there also in endless supply
The road man asks only that you enter,
Empty and dry,
To the portal that leads, to the
Crossroads of mercy and grace.
This journey begins
With the bowing of your heart,
And asking for direction of the road man,
Of the things you must leave behind
You must listen very carefully
Of what cannot enter there,
These things are most vital,
If you want to make it there
Envy will not be allowed,
Pride must be cast away,
Unforgivness will not enter in,
Haughtiness will be turned away
You see you must be completely broken,
To find the road to mercy and grace,
And if hate is hidden away in your heart,
You'll never find the way
If your fearful of this journey,
Unsure that you can make it,
You won't be alone,
Here are the names of those,
Who'll help see that you make it
Faith and hope will walk before
You, lighting the path that you must take
Gentleness will hold you on your left side
And meekness on your right
Goodness will follow close behind you,
Til you reach that wonderful crossroads,
Of the road mans mercy and grace.
