I had thoughts of you today,
Warmth filled me to overflowing…
My emotions reached a beautiful peak,
Catching me off-guard.
I actually spoke of you to another
And encouragement rang steadily-
You make me….feel.
I barely know you, but this thing you do,
The way you touch me…
Both pleasure and amazement fill this soul.
The path we find ourselves treading
Hints of unspoken delights.
But please, handle me gently…
This heart bears battle scars deep,
Yet the soul remains ever hopeful
For that love so long ago….promised.
