Mother Told Me So

(just for giggles)

My mother always told me so
Said girl you will never be a wife
What man with a shred of common sense
Wants a woman who's good with a knife

Oh sure you'd fill his belly up
Cakes and pies, what could be sweeter
But talk about the indigestion he'd get
Watching you chop meat with that there cleaver

So why not be a nurse or a dancer
Forget every thought of being a chef
I hate to say that I told you so
But your date just got up and left
