Eternity

Longer than the very sun
Holds its perch in the sky
Longer than the brightest star
Shines on its canvas of night

Longer then the frothy waves
Crash upon a sandy shore
Longer then the hands of time
Have ever known before

Longer than the arid desert
Spread its arms in search of water
Longer than the babbling brook
First saw signs of the playful otter

Longer than the mountain top
Has worn its cap of snow
I'm talking about eternity
In case you didn't know

The love that I feel for you
Will last a long, long time
And when people speak of eternity again
They'll think of this love of mine
